Park Repairs & Improvements

We are here to help! Thank you for your patience as we refine new systems and update our protocols. Our goal is to host a transparent spreadsheet here with tracking & prioritization of known issues.

A complete process with accountability and best results necessarily includes filing a 311 report with the City of Atlanta, followed by empowering Cabbagetown Initiative to monitor the status, resolve and/or escalate the issue.

STEP ONE:
Visit the online portal:
311/Park Repairs
or
311/Playground Repairs

via ATL311.com

or call 311 / 404-546-0311

PRO-TIP: Reports with photos are much more likely to result in action. Additional context is incredibly helpful. Many cases are dropped because the work crew cannot identify the issue or find the exact area; Consider secondary wide angle photographs with easily identifiable landmarks. For Cabbagetown Park, look across Tye street to get the closest address. A screenshot of map / GPS pin location can help others navigate to tricky spots. Images with time-stamped filenames assist greatly with follow-up! Do not assume the person reading your ticket is intimately familiar with our parks.

The City of Atlanta Department of Parks & Recreation uses 311 tickets to prioritize repairs and create work orders. Cabbagetown Initiative can help facilitate small repairs and handle minor issues, but it is essential to record a 311 Case Number in order to properly track trends and create useful data that improves the quality of service and response time.

STEP TWO:
Cabbagetown Parks
Repair & Maintenance Request

You’re certainly welcome to skip 311 and immediately contact Cabbagetown. However, when you use this form in conjunction with 311, Cabbagetown representatives are much better equipped to review complaints with the cooperation of our Councilmember and other City staff. We can escalate specific case numbers, more accurately reference the exact date & time of the issues you are experiencing, and calculate the frequency of certain problems, including when they were first noticed.

Thank you for your patience while we review your response. We are always looking for volunteers, tools, and financial resources to complement our mission. It takes a village!
