Why the Park Matters
For 20 years, Cabbagetown Park has been our community’s gathering place. With your support, the Playscapes initiative will modernize the park so it serves all ages for the next 20 years.
Our Vision for the Next 20 Years
In 2024, Cabbagetown parents and neighbors began planning improvements to the park’s gathering spaces and playscapes. After community brainstorming sessions, and with support from Park Pride and Gresham Smith in summer 2025, we created conceptual designs based on the neighborhood’s priorities.

📸 Cabbagetown Park Mini Photo Sessions - November 15th
Capture memories and give back to the place that makes them possible. Join us for Mini Photo Sessions in Cabbagetown Park with Chris Marley—a beautiful way to support our neighborhood green space while getting professional photos you’ll cherish. Each session is $275, with $100 supporting the park and includes:
A 10-minute photo session in Cabbagetown Park.
5–10 professionally edited photos delivered digitally via Pic-Time, which makes it easy for families to download their images, order prints, and share galleries with friends and relatives.
The warm feeling of knowing a portion of your session fee goes directly to support Cabbagetown Park.
Whether it’s family portraits, couples’ shots, or updated headshots, this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate Cabbagetown and help keep our park thriving.

❄️ Cabbagetown Kids Fun Run in January!
It will be snow much fun!! The Cabbagetown Fun Run is a kids run featuring a flat course around Cabbagetown Park, complete with snowflakes! Kids can complete as many laps as possible in 45 minutes, earning a marshmallow for each lap! All race participants receive a free cup of hot cocoa to go with all those marshmallows earned and a craft to complete post race!
How to Join the Fun Run
Make a one time donation to the right.
In the comments be sure to include your child’s name.
Once you donate, we’ll set up an individual fundraising page for your child. We’ll email this along with your race waiver. Complete your race waiver and reply before the race.

Playscape Happenings Recap
August: Park Pride’s Park Design Workshop Through Park Pride’s Park Design Workshop, we were paired with Gresham Smith, a landscape architect firm, who volunteered their time and expertise to create conceptual plans reimaging our park gathering spaces at Cabbagetown Park.
