WELCOME TO CABBAGETOWN, a National Landmark Historic District with preserved period housing (1890’s), a wonderfully preserved cotton mill (Fulton Cotton Mill lofts) & nearby industrial space, with a convenient location to Interstate-20, less than a mile from Georgia State Capital building in downtown Atlanta. Our progressive & proactive neighborhood organization assists with communications, traffic/parking maps, and seamless impact planning.
The Cabbagetown Initiative 501c3 Community Development Corporation enjoys great relationships with City Councilmember Liliana Bakhtiari, NPU-N, Atlanta Department of Parks & Recreation, ATLDOT, APD Zone 6, AFR Station 10 (Animal House), MOSE, and the Film Office. We’re here to help!
Check out the Cabbagetown Community Center (map: 177 Estoria Street SE, Atlanta GA 30316 - PHOTOS) directly adjacent to the gorgeous Cabbagetown Park (2.1 acres), a pedestrian-friendly field surrounded by mature trees, centrally located in the heart of the neighborhood, 100 yards from the Atlanta BeltLine & Krog Tunnel graffiti free wall; 3 short walking blocks from our funky Carroll Street business district (think NOLA vibes) featuring Little’s Food Store (since 1929).

MI CASA ES SU CASA
Cabbagetown Community Center is a cute and comfy meeting space adjacent Cabbagetown Park. There is a large meeting hall, smaller conference room, and artists workshop. Outside amenities include a spacious deck, outdoor picnic area, and a tiny tea garden. Facilities include 6 ADA bathrooms, a kitchenette with commercial popcorn machine, refrigerator, prep counters, and additional storage space. There are 5 banquet tables (8’ / up to 10 guests each), and 6 dinner tables (6’ / up to 8 guests), as well as 36 soft back chairs, 36 metal folding chairs, and an assortment of small tables and carts.
The space is managed by the Cabbagetown Initiative under a Memorandum of Understanding & usufruct Lease with the City of Atlanta. We welcome all people and encourage open, inviting, and creative programming. Public rental fees are provided on a sliding scale, prioritizing accessibility and open events. Private rentals are available for groups looking for a friendly, relaxed environment with active groups in the auxiliary rooms. Full buy-outs are subject to availability. To ensure the space is available to a diverse array of people, we discourage repetitive scheduling more than 6 consecutive weeks.
Cabbagetown Hall, the primary meeting space, has over 1,200 square feet of space and can accommodate up to 96 people. Included in the rental is the kitchenette, two restrooms, side deck, foyer, 10 parking spaces and convenient access to Cabbagetown Park.
We take neighbor concerns seriously. We’re here to energize public spaces with dynamic arts programming and service opportunities. Our goals include enhancing livability, and sharing resources with the larger community. Cabbagetown loves working with courteous and responsible crews who work efficiently and respectfully. Donations to the Cabbagetown Initiative go a long way to illustrate your dedication to our ideals and values. We are happy to assist with concerns or complaints. CI knows our neighbors, which people feel impact the most, and we do our best to help fairly balance your needs with the expectations of those who live here. Please let us know if we can assist with holding a town hall meeting, or quickly contacting our network to get ahead of inconveniences or disruptions that might otherwise unexpectedly affect daily routines. We have dedicated social media volunteers and reliable communications strategies that reach our private Facebook audience, wider Instagram followers, as well as stakeholders and business contacts.
Collaboration is never completely easy, but it doesn’t need to be difficult. Let’s work together!
Same-Day Tours are generally available for serious Location Scouts
