Hi Neighbor!
Tonight is the April edition of Cabbagetown, Atlanta’s monthly neighborhood meeting. The Cabbagetown Neighborhood Improvement Association (CNIA) will host a virtual neighborhood meeting via Zoom (information provided above.)
We will have a number of important topics to discuss centering around: recruiting new board members and volunteers, planning upcoming social events, and educating new neighbors and new businesses about our organization.
CNIA & CI BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTIONS: The Cabbagetown Initiative (CI) and the CNIA are both holding elections for their 2020 - 2021 Board of Directors. The two groups are looking for local neighbors who are interested in volunteering to perform duties like:
Organize and lead parks/garden maintenance
Organize and lead neighborhood fundraising events
Communicate between neighbors and outside organizations about news and updates
Serve as transportation and security liaisons, and coordinating with local APD beat officers
Serve as community liaisons with local government representatives
Create content and moderate neighborhood communication channels and social media
If you are interested in joining either Board of Directors, and want more information, please email info@cabbagetown.com or president@cabbagetown.com. You can also read more about each group here:
