Learn about our Amphitheatre, visit: cabbagetown.com/joyce
We'd be delighted to greet you at Agave on Tuesday April 22nd at 6:30pm.
Hosted by Chef Jack Sobel, we'll have drinks and snacks, and learn more about the design and architecture of our new Amphitheatre bandshell - dedicated to the life and work of Joyce Brookshire. Come meet the amazing design team from Martin Rickles Studio, see our construction plans, and learn more about the hidden meaning in the design, and its lore. Yes, lore. The conceptual stuff goes pretty deep, philosophically speaking.
As you probably know, Joyce is the songwriter and singer who best represents a connection to Cabbagetown's past through her profound poetry and often humorous lyrics. Whether you're an enthusiast for the arts, history, or uplifting community, building this is our path forward, part of our larger mission to lay the foundation for a stronger organization dedicated to welcoming others into our public spaces and improving quality of life for all!
We're hoping to sign up new folks and inspire current members at this event to help reach our April fundraising goal. If you wish to support the project but cannot attend, there is a donation portal on cabbagetown.com/joyce - or you may invite loved ones to join us together in our membership group: cabbagetown.com/friends
